We're looking for a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team and help us maintain our plant and equipment and keep our brewery running smoothly.
Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot our brewery equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. The role includes the procurement of parts and services required to maintain the plant. You'll work closely with our production team and maintenance controller to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on brewery equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, and PLC control systems
- Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues
- Install and commission new equipment and systems
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
- Manage maintenance contracts with external service providers
- Procure equipment, spare parts, and services to support brewery operations
- Collaborate with production team to optimize equipment performance and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and brewery policies
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs, sensors, and actuators
- Knowledge of automation and control systems
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and willingness to work shifts
Nice to Have:
- Experience in a brewery or food production environment
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics beneficial
- Certification in electrical or mechanical engineering
