Darling Brew Trail – A NEW FORMAT FOR 2020!
Dear Darling Brew Trail Runner
Thank you for your ongoing support during these uncertain times.
Despite Covid-19 cases decreasing and regulations easing, the challenges of bringing events to runners are still alive and well. Due to the increased cost to meet the Covid-19 compliance regulations and the limit on the number of runners allowed to participate, we will not be hosting our trail run in its planned format.
We are excited to announce our format for 2020, Darling Brew Trail.
We offer the routes and you create the experience. Runners will have the opportunity to run the beautiful and otherwise inaccessible Darling routes in your own time and at your own pace!
The DB Trail routes will be open on the 31st October and 1st November 2020 from 7H00 to 14h00
START AND FINISH:
Darling Brew, 48 Caledon Street, Darling
There are three routes, a 6km, 12km and a 21km route. All routes will be clearly marked and runners will receive the GPS files for the specific route they have entered.
Make sure you load the route file on to your devices. If you get lost, return to the previous route sign and continue from there.
To avoid congestion on the routes and adhere to social distancing regulations, there will be different starting batches from 07:00 to 11:00 with a limited number of people per time slot. One is free to change your time slot multiple times, but it is dependent on availability.
There will be sweepers and a recovery vehicle on route to make sure everyone gets home safely.
HOW TO ENTER:
A limited amount of entries are available on Entry Ninja. Those that have already entered for DB Trail will be issued a voucher with the Entry Ninja links to choose a date, distance and time slot for their run.
Those that have ordered merchandise can collect it at the registration point anytime on the day. Those that still wish to order can do so on Entry Ninja when choosing their time slots. Please note purchases for merchandise will close on the 10th of October 2020.
There will be no refunding after 1 September 2020. We thank you for your support and understanding during these trying times.
The basic running rules still apply. Keep your distance, be courteous on route and look out for other runners. There will not be any assistance on the route, please follow the route signs and cross roads safely.
As per Covid-19 regulations, this is a self- sufficient run. Please carry with you what you require. There will be a water tank at the start for filling bottles and one refill station on each route.
No spectators or route support will be allowed.
All routes start and finish at the Brewery. Runners have to register and do a Covid-19 screening before they leave. No runners will be able to participate without going through the registration process.
All runners will receive a post run finishers beer (non alcoholic options available) and a DB Trail Limited Edition bottle opener.
Timing will be done through Strava and results will become available by the 2nd November 2020. We ask that all runners upload their times by no later than 12 hours post event.
The Tasteroom will be open and mobile coffee, beer and food will be available for quick and easy access. Booking for the restaurant is advised and can be done on our Tasteroom page.
