What Level 4 means for Darling Brew & you.
When the president called a family meeting for Sunday 27 June we all knew the news was likely to be grim. Infection numbers had been on the rise for a while, and the third wave of COVID-19 has well and truly arrived in the midst of plummeting winter temperatures in normally sunny SA.
So, here we are, on adjusted Level 4 lockdown. Let's break down what this means for Darling Brew, and how we plan to keep the boat afloat and our valued crew taken care of while we weather this phase of the COVID-19 storm.
Here are the Level 4 restrictions pertaining to our industry, as gazetted on Monday 28 June 2021:
🏫 All social, religious, political, and other gatherings are prohibited.
🕘 Curfew is from 21:00 - 04:00.
👩🍳 Restaurants and other eateries may only serve food for takeaway or delivery.
🚫 The sale of alcohol is prohibited for on-site or off-site consumption.

The taps may be closed on the boozy side of things, but that does not mean that you need to go thirsty! Get your Darling Brew fix on our #DBshop by stocking up on some Tasty Apple Bombs 🍎 💣 and Jinja Beer 🧡🍺, now available at a bargain price of R99 for 12 of either.
It would be fantastic if you could continue supporting us during this difficult time. Once the dust has settled, we plan to bind together with our fellow brewers to revive our industry after suffering such a massive knock once again. The results of that, as you can imagine, can only be EPIC.
Now here's an awesome picture of our Brewers with their African Beer Cup awards to thank you for your time 💛
